I remember those days, especially when everyone was young and running wild in Waikiki. I sure would like to see some of the 1st shirts names, espesally when Schatzly was the big cheese. Did you stay in Hawaii? I was there 30 years later for a mailman convention, but had to stay in my hotel room from a bad case of bronchitis.Well I'll be at this years reunion in DC. Take care and maybe see you .....

I was stationed at Yokota AFB 08/59 - 10/61 in the 67RTS. From there I went to Shaw AFB to the 4444th RTS and worked on the Cuban Missile Crises. Began my AF stint at Westover AFB, 99thBW form '56 - '59. I would like to hear from anyone in these organizations.

I will remember the great flag football time I played on in the inaugural season of 1971, winning the base championship 35-2, scoring on an interception. Got to see a U-2 up close, living in Waikiki, and so much more.

Kerry McBroom is on Facebook, lives in VA. Last I heard Armando lived in Houston, TX and had been a journalist. I remember Gary's Impala but don't know his whereabouts. Our apartment on Kapiolani was a trip!

Aloha from "JR" (Exploitation '77-'79) anyone have any contact info or news on Gary Gruver? Don Miller? Kerry McBroom? Dan Wark? Armando Villafranca? Jerry Dugas? Long live the Tiki Torch, Davey Jones Locker room, Kerry & Joes offbase pad where I saw God while running on my back in a monsoon, Bellows AFB, Weeds & Seeds Detail, Jimmy Roger's Firebird, Gruvers white Impala with 3 on the tree, my 8 track of Hotel California, The Ritchie Walker Band and 3-11 shift!

Joe: > life in the barracks was even crazier=Unfortunately I was already married so I never had the joy of sharing you guys' craziness. I do remember the day Jimmi Hendricks died and I happened to be by the barracks. Somehow the entire barracks suddenly burst into that Hendricks guitar signature tune. I am trying to remember Foster. Do you remember Tom Foard?

Tom Kenney, it was crazy at work, but life in the barracks was even crazier. Do you remember a guy with a last name of Foster, who worked in the library next to TMD? I will definitely will be at the reunion in Virgina. If it is in Hampton Roads area, there was 4444 RTG @ Langley AFB, I was there too. Talk to soon...........

Jess: Fancy meeting you here!!!! I don't recall ever spending a guard duty there with an officer. They probably had "better things to do" Usually SSgt or TSgt in charge. Remember the mock funeral we held at the Carto Section for the little mouse that someone trapped? We placed it in a match box, wrapped it with ton of masking tape, draw an American Flag on it and placed it deep in the film canister storage. Imagine the surprise when it was finally discovered years later....... Ah, the fun we had behind the "lifers" and officers!!!!

Tom Kenney, so that torn that old place down, huh? We used to have a burn detail down there, too, remember? An officer and an enlisted, on weekends, I think. Used to run the furnace and drive home to watch Curtis Iaukea or Ripper Collins or whoever on wrestling.
